Some Thoughts on Sports

"We were robbed!"

"The MVP for the game? The Ref!"

"What is a local from the same area as one of the teams doing reffing in this game?"

A game watched around the world decided by a sketchy call.

"How could a ref make a call like that?"

Fans of the losing team up in arms against a call that ultimately snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Frustration and anger among many fans of the game.

Is this a late criticism of the Super Bowl from a frustrated Seahawks fan?

Nope.

This is what has been on the news and in the papers since yesterday evening, following Japan's loss to the U.S. in the WBC tournament. (Just replace "ref" with "ump".)

How does it feel, Japan? Know my pain. Know my pain.

well, as you now know, they triumphed over Korea to gain a spot in tomorrow's final game vs Cuba. I think they have their work cut out for them against Cuba, but they have a decent chance of winning.

USA losing to Mexico??? who'da thunk it??

The Japan team need to write one long arigatou gazaimashita letter to the Mexican team...
